Here is some insight to the projects the Squan-a-Tissit Chapter is currently reviewing.

Willard Brook in Ashby, MA– Martha Morgan of the Nashua River Watershed Association has brought to the chapters attention of a breeched dam located on Willard Brook in Ashby, MA. The chapter is currently surveying the area to find if the dam impedes aquatic passage within the brook.

 

Gulf Brook in Pepperell, MA- The town of Pepperell is in the planning stages of replacing the Lawrence Street culvert due to a history of flooding is this area. The Squan-a-Tissit Chapter is currently working towards donating a bottomless culvert to the Town of Pepperell to ensure that there will be no barriers to the aquatic life that uses the brook.
